About the Boys' AotW:

Lockman, just a sophomore, was a big part of Albemarle’s victorious romp over the rest of the Ben Hair Memorial Swim Meet field, winning both the 100-freestyle and 50-free races. He also swam on the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relay first place teams. According to coach Jake Shrum, there aren’t many races Lockman can’t score points for the Patriots in, so look for the multi-dimensional standout to continue making an impact all season.

About the Girls' AotW:

McKinley had a tough task ahead of her during the Ben Hair Memorial meet last week—try and post a terrific time from the non-seeded heat in a race — the 500-yard freestyle — that demands a steady pace. But McKinley pulled it off, setting a school record with a time of 5:17.18, winning by nearly 13 full seconds. While it wasn’t a personal best, it was an incredible early season performance for McKinley, who also raced on two first-place relay teams for the Warriors.
